Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
Rhetoric Innovations LLC, operating as Lull. lulljournal.app (app) and lulljournal.com (marketing site).
2. What we collect
- Account information: email address, account creation date
- Journal entries: text content you write or speak
- Creative Outlet media: images, audio files, documents, and links you upload (stored privately, signed URLs only)
- Usage data: session frequency and feature usage (no content)
- Device information: device type, OS, browser (for compatibility)
3. How AI processes your entries
Journal entries are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate responses. Anthropic does not use your entries to train AI models. Entries are processed and discarded — not retained by Anthropic beyond the immediate API call. See anthropic.com/privacy.
4. Audio Capture
Audio Capture uses your device's built-in speech recognition. No audio is recorded, stored, or transmitted. Only the text transcript is captured on your device and stored in Lull.
5. Creative Outlet media
Files you upload (photos, voice memos, documents) are stored in private cloud storage. Access is controlled by signed URLs that expire. No Creative Outlet media is publicly accessible.
6. Relationship Mode
Lull's Relationship Mode links two separate accounts. No journal content is ever shared between linked accounts. Lull detects shared themes from each account independently — only theme signals, never content, inform the linked experience.
7. Provider Link
If you enable Provider Link, your designated provider gains limited access to your account based on your subscription tier: Core — safety flags and session frequency only; Pro — safety flags, weekly insight report, medication timeline. Your full journal text is never accessible to your provider. You can revoke Provider Link at any time from settings.
8. Safety alerts
If Lull detects content that may indicate risk, safety alerts may be sent to your designated Safety Person(s). You configure these contacts in settings. You can update or remove them anytime.
9. Data retention
Your journal entries and account data are retained while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from settings, which permanently deletes all your data within 30 days. Cancelled subscriptions retain data until account deletion is requested.
10. Age requirement
Lull requires users to be 13 or older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact privacy@lulljournal.com.
11. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting privacy@lulljournal.com. We respond to verified requests within 30 days.
12. Changes to this policy
We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notice. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance.
